Several thousand images were captured for this study. To keep the story focused and the book manageable, the final book contains 189 images and many relevant images or supporting images of a topic were not used. With a few exceptions, only one photograph per topic is presented. Yet in the spirit of contributing to the study of the war, the war's legacy, US-Vietnam diplomatic relations, and post-war economic development of Vietnam, we have decided to publish these images on this website. Over time, we will add images to this site until this collection is complete. If for your own book or research you would like to use one of these images or are seeking something specific (we have thousands of images), please contact the photographer via Nacala Press using the "Contact" link above. NOTE: the search function below only indexes words on the site and not all the words in the book, as only about 20 images from the book are on this site, as samples.
